Model United Nations (MUN) is an engaging simulation of international relations, where students step into the roles of delegates and decision-makers in United Nations-style debates. This opportunity empowers young leaders to tackle some of the most pressing, complex global issues in a collaborative and hands-on environment. By participating in MUN conferences, students learn to further change, resolve conflicts, and develop into global citizens.

At BIS Houston, home to a community of 75+ nationalities, we prioritize open-mindedness and international awareness, core values of the United Nations. BISHMUN 2026 maintains this tradition by offering an inclusive environment where students are encouraged to voice and share their perspectives and opinions. Through the MUN simulation, participants advance essential skills such as leadership, public speaking, negotiation, teamwork, and critical thinking. The conference supports students' personal and academic growth throughout their middle and high school years, preparing them to become the next generation of global problem solvers.

Since its inception in 2022, our program has expanded each year, allowing students to connect with hundreds of peers from across the Greater Houston Area. We are excited to host our sixth annual external conference on November 6th and 7th at the British International School of Houston!
